The cover of last week’s Economist featured our planet. Neither India nor South America was placed as the centerpiece of our planet. No, China didn’t take the stage either. It was the closed sign hung right in the middle of our planet that stole the spotlight.
The cover—both strategic and timely—seemed to have struck a cord, as millions forced to wait benighted at home during this shelter-to-place order. Many wonder if there is anything left open and available. Here, we’ve compiled a list for you:
Undoubtedly a poignant post, it shows the immense sacrifice and love in our communities, and with such a sacrifice, I can’t help but to divert my attention to Jesus, One who demonstrated the greatest love. John 6: 38 writes “For I have come down from heaven not to do My will but to do the will of Him who sent Me.” Jesus came down from heaven for us. What can we do for Him? Challenge: “For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.” (2 Corinthians 8:12; NIV) We don’t have to look at what others are doing to help the communities navigate the current challenge. Why? God calls all to serve, but not all are called to serve in the same field. Let us each ask, “What do You want me to do in this time?”, and fulfill the calling with cheerful willingness. PS: If you’re a medical provider, please know that we’re all very thankful for you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for your service. And, we are staying at home for you.
